Step 4 – Applying the BioBooster to Gardens and Acreage

This article is part of a series. Please check out the introduction to get started.

Once the BioBooster is ready, let it settle for a few minutes before siphoning into the spray equipment with a hose. Use a sieve to make sure larger particles do not clog up the rose.

Add sufficient water to make it easy to apply it evenly. It can be sprayed over the plants.

Like the starter, the BioBooster can also be poured directly onto the soil with a watering can, this time with the rose. For larger areas, it can be applied with a hand operated backpack sprayer.

Use As a Soil restorer

When applied as a soil restorer, 40 litres may treat 2,000 – 4,000 square meters, the latter is a quarter-acre house block. Add at least 40 litres additional water at application. Apply with watering can or with a wheeled rechargeable battery powered sprayer and wet the topsoil 30 mm or more.

Use For Disease control

Literature reports the use of BioBooster for disease control, both in and above ground.

We have applied the BioBooster for disease control on leaf and fruit diseases in pawpaw and cucumbers. In the photo above, the BioBooster was applied with a small hand-held spray to the area below the line on the fruit. The area above was the control.

The photo was taken seven days after application. The BioBooster stopped the spread of the fungus and the damage remained limited to the surface. The flesh from the control area was still edible despite surface disease.

The BioBooster also significantly reduced powdery mildew on cucumbers, but no photos were taken. We are testing this further.
