Soil biology builds soil structure, creates many health compounds for plants and people, all in exchange plant sugars…

Industrial Chemical Farming

We can do something about it!
What Went Wrong?
The Industrial Chemical way of farming vastly increased world food production but also weakens and kills soil biology. Without soil biology, plants become more susceptible to diseases and insects and thus more dependent on chemicals. This led to a vicious downward spiral that resulted in ever-increasing costs and steadily diminishing nutritional value of our food.
The decline in nutritional value for people adds to physical and mental health problems, causing suffering and increasing the cost of living. It need not be so!

What is being done about it?
Permaculture, Regenerative Agriculture and many more methods are proof that it is possible to grow healthy food sustainably. All are Bio-Friendly ways of growing crops, in that they stimulate soil biology but can be complex and need time to learn.
We have developed a DIY way to start revitalising soil biology as a first step in looking after your soil biology. Following it up with other changes will lead to a gradual transition to Bio-Friendly of growing and start a virtuous upward spiral.
BioBooster restores Soil Biology
Our BioBooster can be produced on the property, needs little equipment and a few low cost inputs to grow, uses existing farm machinery to spread and is ready for application in a week.
Tests on commercial crops have shown visible changes in the soil within 100 days, increased yields, and suggested worthwhile increases in net income from the first crop. In our own gardens, it has visibly improved the health of our vegetables. And they also taste much better – more like they used to!

Wicking Beds and Boxes are for Everyone
Wicking beds are an easy way to start growing your own healthy food when water, time and/or space are limited. They make it possible to grow on difficult soils, near trees, even on concrete pads and balconies. And to keep growing at later stages in life. Anyone can make them from many common materials into many designs, needing only common household tools.
Gardening is Continuous Learning
Like all growers, we are on a continuous learning curve. We learn from our plants, new research and insights, and by sharing practical experiences with fellow growers. So, if some of our experiences and findings are of use to you, we will have done our bit.
Growing our own healthy and wholesome plants for our own families is very rewarding. It’s also relaxing and good for our wellbeing.

Our findings so far
