Healthy Plants

A healthy patch of sorrel (Rumex acetosa). Shiny leaves indicate healthy plants.

Healthy plants grow better, are larger and stronger, have thicker, larger and darker-green leaves with a shine on them. They show no disease or insect damage, apart from perhaps a small hole where an insect took a bite and died from it. Their nutritional value to humans is higher, as indicated by Brix (sap sugar level) readings.

Plants become healthy when they have access to all the minerals they need, have enough water, sunlight and carbon dioxide, and are provided with a wide range of complex compounds by a diverse soil biology.

The Plant Health Pyramid highlights the importance of a healthy soil biology in achieving truly healthy plants. It shows the relationships between soil biology, complete plant nutrition and plant health in a clear and simple overview.

Feeding the very complex soil biology and plants with a natural fertiliser supplemented by Sea Minerals has consistently shown good results in gardens, crops, and pasture. Sea minerals have the widest range of minerals possible in natural supplements.

Our commercial case studies indicated immediate improvements in soil structure and economically significant increases in income per hectare at little extra cost.
